Influenster Review: Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Review

**Influenster has sent this product to me free of charge and for testing purposes. All thoughts and opinions are my own.**

While summer is winding down, and with it the mass amount of weddings/outdoor activities, some of you may have a few last activities to go to. And I have the perfect thing.

This little beauty here:

I received mine in Light

I am sure you have seen this in stores and been like. ‘ehhh, no thanks.’ And I was in the same boat. Until now.

Bare Legs – No Product

Close your eyes, they blind you, I know!

I had no occasion to require tanner legs, but I figured that the world might be a better place if I did.

I didn’t read directions, because I figured it is a lotion. Rub it in.

Such Persice Application

Such Precise Application

Holy Orange Batman. I will admit I kind of cringed when it came out of the tube. How is this going to look on? And in the time it took for my to cap the lotion, pull out my camera, take this picture and put the camera down, the product had almost dried! I got a little bit of coconut oil on my palm and that helped move the product around easier. So if you use this WORK FAST.

Orange Palm...

Orange Palm…

Not too bad staining on one palm on one leg. Bonus: Since this isn’t actually staining the skin, you can just wash your hands with soap and water and it wont leave any residue behind or weird staining.

Product on Left Leg. Right Leg still Bare.

Product on Left Leg. Right Leg still Bare.

Have to say I was surprised. It didn’t look bad at all!

Smoothing Out Veins

Smoothing Out Veins

One of its claims was that it would cover veins. If it can cover my spider veins I would have been mighty impressed. As it stands it did a great job ‘air brushing’ my skin in general. So veins did appear less noticeable.

Both Legs Complete!

Both Legs Complete!

And both legs covered! It soaked into skin so fast that it just felt like skin. Didn’t feel like a lotion or anything sitting on top of the skin. Even sweating behind the knees while I was in the car driving, didn’t budge. I actually came home late last night, forgot it was on, and went to bed in my WHITE sheets. No noticeable orange spots on those either!

Would I get this again? Yes! BUT I would much rather try out the spray version. Might save the instant dry time dot issue.

Hope this helps some of you decided if you should purchase a product like this. A one night tan is perfect for special occasions. And remember, the ONLY safe tan is a FAKE tan!

Maybelline Vox Box – #BetterSkinChallenge

Influenster has challenged me to use Maybelline’s new Better Skin Skin Transforming Foundation for three weeks in exchange for the complimentary full size sample! Here are my first weeks impressions of using this product from 7/29/2015 through 8/6/2015.

Initial thoughts

I am so glad this product has a pump! The actual shape of the glass container fits easily in my hand. It’s not bulky and I can feel in control and precise with it.

The consistency is thicker than most foundations I’ve used. I liked that.

There wasn’t a strong scent. Good or bad. Neutral and clean.

Coverage – My naked barely awake face. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! lol

You can tell there is a redness on the apples of my cheeks, around my nose, along with those pesky dark circles I can never get away from no matter how much I try.

I applied the foundation with a synthetic brush, no primer, no concealer, just about two full pumps worth of the foundation. Here are my results.

I am pretty happy with the results! You can see that my reddness has gone down and is almost completely covered by just the foundation alone. The color (10 Ivory) is a near perfect match for my skin tone in this lighting. You can tell against my neck that my natural skin tone is flushed redder, but overall I love the clean look of just the foundation on my skin.

After this initial week my first impressions are still the same. I enjoy the coverage of the foundation and it’s longevity (9+ hours). I have seen a decrease in redness on my cheeks, but my nose area remains red. Thanks hormones.

So now that I’ve scared you with my sleepy before and after application photos. Let me share with you a “complete” photo with all off my regular makeup applied (and the Maybelline Better Skin foundation)

Much better!

Thank you Influenster for selecting me to be a part of the #betterskinchallenge. I’m enjoying testing out this  product, thanks your generosity, and hope to share more positive reviews with you in the coming weeks!

I was so excited to open the mailbox a couple weeks ago and noticed a little black box! I had no idea I had been chosen for the infamous YSL VoxBox. (Some how or another the email for the tracking number went to my Spam folder!). I was beyond giddy. So much so that I opened the box (without knowing I had to film it for one of the tasks). Oh well. I am still pumped about my first luxury mascara brand product.*

Let me tell you…

I love the fact that this mascara smells good. Is that weird? Like… It’s almost perfume! That gets points from me!
The formula is thin and grabs at eyelashes from root to tip, giving length.
The packaging is superb and what you would expect from a luxury brand. The OCD in me loves that the YSL logo lines up everytime you close it.
The B-5 vitamins make my lashes feel soft at the end of the day after taking off my makeup.
It’s not a chore to come off.

If you’re looking for a thickening formula be prepared to layer multiple coats on. For my lashes it took 2-3 applications to get the amount of thickness I wanted.
It is not waterproof. I’ve been emotional a lot lately (long story) and it hasn’t quite held up to tears.
Because it’s not waterproof after 5+ hours of wear my lashes tend to droop.

Overall Impression:
If you are looking for a mascara that A) doesn’t smell like burnt rubber and B) coats your lashes from root to tip without much fuss, then please run out and grab this mascara! It will not let you down.

You can find it at places like Sephora and Nordstrom.

Influenster Description:
The most emblematic “false lash effect” volume mascara, now with an all new Lash Care formula. Its secret is the Triple-Intensity Formula: intense volume, intense color and now intense care. The nylon fiber brush coats each lash in deep color and maximum volume from root to tip, while B5 Pro-Vitamin strengthens and protects lashes.
